How to tell if you are being redirected/infected ?

    Hey all,

Quick question, how can you tell if you are being redirected to another web site with the intention of being infected with malicious code ? or any harmfull code for that matter..
As alot of the virus/worm/trojan highlighted problems recently involve being infected via redirection to an infected site (excluding the sites where they are the "proper" site but have just hade code implanted on them)

    Cheers, Dave.

if you're browser's start page is something YOU haven't specified or something to do with your software (Bt.com/google etc) then odds are you've been hi jacked. If you have 1 million pop ups when going on pop up free sites, ie google, you've been hi jacked, if you have SEARCH bars you haven't downloaded on your IE odds are, you've been hi jacked. Get Anti Spy ware software to help, and or a firewall (http://www.zonelabs.com for a free one)
