    Who needs Hatori Hanso Steel........

....... when you can have a real Katana.

I had a big, exceedingly well wrapped cardboard box arrive today in a parcel force van.

The first piece in my collection has arrived! I feel sory for the lemonade bottles i had lying around for test cuts. One even tried to run away by rolling down the drive. It didnt get very far though... muahahahahahhaahahahhaa...ahahhaa....haha...huh..mmf

    EDIT

I have added more and better pictures to give you more idea what the sword looks like. Click on the SMALL thumnails to get BIG pictures!!!

There's thousands of the buggers on Ebay, but no idea how good they all are. Just do a search for Katana

EDIT: Hmm, this one on Ebay looks quite similar, currently going for a fiver:

    www.blades-uk.com sell them.

One thing, if your scabbard is a tight fit (ie, you need to exert *some* force to remove the katana) then the Habaki (gold coloured bit at the bottom of the blade) will tend to 'pull' and cause the Tsuba to come slightly loose.

Make sure you clean it regularly as well, especially after cutting

Do you need a lisence or anything to own one, how about taking it to the park?

"I can say with no ego that this is my finest sword, if on your journey you encounter a chav, the chav will be cut" as the kill Bill quote goes

Seriously though i really want one of these. How much did yours cost Butuz if you dont mind me asking

Yes! Blades uk is where i got it from. Great shop if swords are your thing.

The Kabakai does seem to bind a bit too much on the inside of the Saya. I think i will take a bit of sandpaper to the inside of the Saya and make a little adjustment.

Its all cleaned regular and lept the blade niceley oiled.

    Yum.

You do not need a licence to own it. However it is illegal for you to wield or use it on public property - i.e as soon as you walk out of your drive, youll have a quick response unit pointing MP5's down your nose most likeley.
