There is a very good biography on Newton, the name escapes me, the author detialed how he had a whole host of mental problems, was a bit of a dick by many accounts, he appeared to be in a semi constant state of struggle with his religion and even some suggest sexuality problems.

Well celibacy is a legit form of practice for many religions , and not because of sin either.

I myself practice it - though given my current undesirable state I guess not too hard ..

Outside , what would be considered " higher states " sexual energy is as powerful as it gets for average person - just look no further than popular culture today and you will see it drives everything now in our image conscious society.

It doesnt matter how dumb or smart you are , all are susceptible to it and all act the same when caught in its lust.

Science has no answer for that sort addiction really as its energy isnt only powerful but fast too in the sense its compels you to think certain thoughts rather than vice versa , so its not something you can rationally resist , and the bane of many a intelligent / socially inept teens ( nerds ) everywhere.
