    Corsair ram competition

A while ago there was the corsair ram competition, I cant remember there being any winner/annoncement of winners, maybe its not ended yet?

Just wondering if that corsair competition, which I entered, is in anyway related to the corsair newsletter "Corsair Newsletter Message" that I just recived, full with all there latest marketing crap, has now been deleted.

Anyway, Im sure I havent subscribed to any newsletters, and for the fun of it, and as I currently cant play counterstrike (my steam password got lost), and have had quite a bad day - Ive decided to find out how corsair got my email address for this spam...

any other hexus members got it?

Thats not the point guys. It is our right to apply for free compos. But we also have the right to opt out of the spam. Report them to the data controller people if there was not an option to opt out on the application page !

come my hexusian commrades, ruin the imperialist memory makers.

*makes flag... and static bomb.. and corsair factory ID.. and. OH. I think I have a plan...*

But as i remember there either way an option or it was part of the competition that they wished to mail you afterwards with an offer.

You can unsubscribe without issue there is an option on the bottom of the mail.

Pretty much reminds me of David's thread on stop complaining about free stuff. You entered a competition, you could have won £250 worth of ram etc, so you get a single e-mail.

Sorry but this isn't spam its targetted marketing, if you wanted to win the ram if you didn't win you might want to purchase it anyway.

    Just my thoughts.

So was the winner announced in the newsletter? Because I pretty much just opened the email, went "I don't remember signing up for this," and clicked Unsubscribe and then Delete.

David sent the winners direct to Corsair, I will ask him to post in here. Meanwhile lets be clear, by entering the competition you agreed to have your email address sent to Corsair for marketing purposes. In addition, Corsair were kind enough to donate around £1000 worth of RAM and promote HEXUS in the process. Therefore any more posts about adding Corsair to your spam list will be removed, unless everyone would prefer that we don't have any more competitions. Show some maturity and common sense please.
