Spam, about it, not making a thread of spam

Anyway, after that killer title, since there seems to be a marked increase in the number of random spam posts lately (no doubt to get the scan offer). How exactly do the mods stand on using the report post to report blatant 'im just posting this cos i only have 6 posts and i want to get it to 15 so i can get free shipping from scan' behaivour?

The terms state at least 25 constructive posts. Spam is not constructive, and although we all have a laugh, and not every post can be a novel, spaming to reach any goal, i.e. For Sale forum access, post count increase, or anything else, will be sorted out if it gets out of hand.

    Ok?

I think you should take a hardline on spam.

I used to admin a forum where there was a lot of bored kids spamming. Our rule was one warning and then on the second offense they had their post count halved. Not so bad if you were a new poster, but I knocked 1,500 posts of someone once.

I suggest you test this system on Vaul. He's always spamming.
