    Its all for Charity...mate!

    Good Morning Hexus!

Up stupidly early this Sunday cos me and Mrs Deckard and 'ickle Deckard-ette are taking part in the Race for Life in St Albans. We are walking the 5km course and between us have raised just over £100 for Cancer Research!
Up early AGAIN next Sunday - coz we just dont stop giving!! Got a 5-a-side Football Tournament for The Childrens Society!!

Anyone else doing any good for Charity?? I usually try to do at least 1 event a year if I can, just to do my bit.

My mum reckons Im trying to make up for all my bad stuff and bags me a place in heaven!!!!

I would expect that most of us are still playing dutch ovens with their duvet.

Not as honourable gesture as yours Honoop, good on ya. <climbs back in bed>

I always do something for Comic Relief, ever since the first year it started.

Last year my store was top in the region for collections, we raised over £3,500... one guy alone had £700 in sponsorship to have his legs waxed... and was HAIRY.

I sang karaoke at the front of the store ALL day, pausing only to have my head shaved (which the missus disliked with a passion, I had to wear a baseball cap ALL the time until it grew back, she was that annoyed!).

The karaoke was fun, though I was so hoarse I lost my voice for two days! Was very funny though, murdering a Frank Sinatra song, utilising the radio mike and following people as they shopped. I would seranade them until they paid me to go away!

Comic Relief will be kicking off again this March... I'm torn between doing the karoke again or having a PS2 dance-mat-a-thon... the karaoke will be a lot easier on the legs, but the dance mat idea could be linked with a charity sweepstake as to what time I'll collapse....

Don't really do money raising, but I help out at the local scout group and have just resigned from a committee position with the local group of advanced motorists.

There's a lot of local charities out there that need people's time just as much as money.

I give 2% of my annual earnings to charity every year...but I'm far too lazy to get up and actually do anything...

Combine the two! Both of them! At the same time!

I'm doing the sport relief mile next Saturday in Manchester, looking forward to it. If anyone wants to sponsor me they can Nochex me a pound or so!
