    FAO Trash Man

mate..gotta thank you, from two little people

You gave me an old HDD a month ago, and I used it to build a little PC from second hand bits.

It was destined for two little lasses, who are with my friends who are fostering them.

They've not had all the breaks in the past, but my friends have done stirling work and frankly, that is two very happy girls...

and now they can play Balamory on the CD rom....
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/balamory

So matey....for the record....you made two little lasses very happy, AND gave them a chance to learn mouse and keyboard skills

    Cheers dude.....you done good

    Awwww.

Top man Trashman. And Zak of course, for building the rig.

Hexus should do this more often. Set up a forum for people to donate old bits they don't need anymore, when we get close to having a complete rig, request the last few bits (someone always has an old keyboard, mouse, floppy, CD-Rom, etc) and then give it to disadvantaged kiddies!

Not only would this be a good thing in general, it would allow me to sleep a little eaiser at night, knowing that all the selfish, greedy acts I have commited were slowly being undone, bit by bit.

    I'm rambling... ignore me.

It can't be all that difficult to organise... well, possibly for men.

It'll raise the profile of Hexus too...

    Good work guys anyway!

I'd be up for that, if someone could make it happen. Not only do I have a lot of old bits from my and my family's computers, I sometimes get working bits from skips outside offices and stuff. I have occasionally in the past given bits to people building crunchers for UD, FAD etc., but 'charitable' donations would be just as worthwhile.

Right now I have a working Compaq P200MMX with CD and a 1GB-ish HD if anyone has a good use for it. It's an office one though, built to take the knocks, so it's a heavy old sod.

Glad it went to some good use It would have only ended up getting chucked out when I moved.

I'm PC Plum, and I'll tell you what I've done,
I've peddled round this island more than once or twice.
And if you call on me,
We can make a cup of tea
I'll tell you all about the bees and birds and mice.

I'm PC Plum and I'll tell you who I am
I'm your policeman and I'll always be your chum
    With my magnifying glass
I can look between the grass
    at all the tiny beasties
    Whee! Look at them run!

You can bet you'll see me a coming.
On my bike I'm riding round the town.
In the country I check on all the wildlife,
    the people, trees and animals,
I keep them safe and sound.
    Safe and Sound.
    I'm PC Plum.

    PC Plum
    I'm just a checking!
    PC Plum
    I love the country!
    PC Plum
    Be careful crossing!
    PC Plum
    I've found your doggie!
    PC Plum
    Here's your handbag..
    PC Pluuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmm

That's what happens when your university lectures don't start until after 12pm, and you've got nothing to do but watch Balamory
