Once I'm confident that I have no more files with issues and that my most important files are safe then I will reformat and install from fresh. But I think it has been close to 10 years since I have had to do this on any of my own computers.
My other pc is fried, I only have this...

Re: Someone is stealing my bandwith ????
Shouldn't need another pc. An external HDD is a good idea, if you don't already own one, consider buying one, if for nothing more than weekly backups.
Then its just a case of copying across all important files, and finding suitable installation media that complies with your windows license.
Its a bit of a ballache.

Nuke it anyhow. You'll get that fresh install feel.
Re: Someone is stealing my bandwith ????
Is there any point to using avast anymore with all these new programs shown here Superantiospyware is free ( unlike my avast ) yet it obviously must be better if its recommended ?
malwarebytes is a definite purchase though.

melon, I don't know how to be more blunt about this.
I've done 'security research'.
You can take my advice which I'm giving you for free, nuke it. Then just use free things like MSE and do not run in an admin account, force yourself to ask the question "do I want to grant it full access".
I can invoice you my minimum consultancy fee, spend 3 hours on the phone an email you a document outlining this if you want, but it would be much cheaper to buy a new computer in that case.
