The fastfoward feature means I can largely skip the annoying adverts and have another 15 minutes spare for every 'hour' of TV.

Good tip, before you set your mind to watch your favourite TV show/movie pause the live telly (if you have this fancy feature!) and go make a cup of tea/smoke/run around/whatever. After around 15-20 minutes you should have advert free TV for around 2 hours!

That has my wife going bananas. Absolutely terrible advert. Counter productive I would have thought.

I also absolutely loathe the Homebase adverts, especially that horrible whistling. Drives me mad.
