Mate had a vektar, bloody noisy thing up and down the road Christmas morning..

I had a Raleigh Commando. It weighed a ton but I loved it and it leant a convincing air of authenticity for when I was playing C.H.I.P.S.; especially when combined with an ice cream tub (sprayed black, of course and with an aerial rammed into its centre) mounted on the rear as a comms unit.

Shooting at each other with 22 air rifles.

Found myself shedding a tear for a moment there.....such happy days....along with "no rules" piggy back fighting, murder ball with the lights turned out at the local youth club, and of course "180" where we tied a balloon to our legs and ran around throwing darts at each other trying to pop the other guys balloon....amazing how easy it was to mistake a head for a balloon back then!!

Kids these days dont know what they are missing, worse thing that ever happened to me was an 8 inch scar down the back of my leg after failing to jump over a barbed wire fence, being shot in the right ball with a paint ball gun and getting a barbed hook stuck down the side of my finger under the nail..

And just think, if it happened nowadays you would be a Compensation Millionaire by now!!
