Still, trying to come up with ideas. It's just about long enough to put it back now if I want, and a few have said I should do that. Guess I'm just looking for something a bit different. Maybe even try for something a bit anime-ish. I don't know.

Get your hairdresser to put a few layers in around the back and sides, keep the length, and neaten the front a bit. It'll sit much better on your head, and be easier to look after.

Booger, I missed this thread. Yes - I'm a bloke who loves his hair.

Until a few years ago, when I got fed up with the dirt/heat/crap it used to build up, mine was half way to my bum. I've had dreads (real one's ), pony tails, and the 'fabulous furry freak brothers' look. Then I took the plunge and got it shorn. Even the hairdresser kept saying 'are you sure?'

so what now ?

well ive cooked up 3 ideas.....

1 - keep it as it is, it might get better, and surely, once i got a ponytail of epic properortions i can kind of hide the crapness, until it hopefully looks good

2- chop it off, chop it all off, go back to how i looked 2 years ago, skin head with a bad attitude

3 - dreadlock it (btw anyone know where i can get it done and how much ? same goes for the do it yourself kits)

4 - go to a proper place, ive not had it cut for 18 months, or anything, go to somewhere like a proper hair studio, and pay 50 quid to get it styled how i want in the hope itll look half decent

or, last but not least....

5 - have it half cut off, so its still about 4/5 inches long all around, dye it black (currently brown) and spike it with some industrial strenth hair gel

My only problem is that the blue fades at the tips and roots VERY quickly, so im having to dye it every month or so Add to that the fact that i was a bit over zealous when i last shaved my undercut, and i lost 2 dreads

I dyed mine the other day, everyone seems to like my new shade of 'bitter sweet chocolate' (it tastes nice too) - I might post a pic later but I dunno if people will be able to tell the difference as my hair always looked darker on pics anyways hehehe
