    Long hair rox

Though it can be a touch expensive in shampoo and condish.

Get mine cut every....4-6 months or so, usually 6 to 8 inches at a time.

    One thing......

Long hair must be used appropriately. Windmills are mandatory.....as are the half-hour de-knotting sessions following clubbing.

    Practical it is not.

i got a beanie few days ago, suprised how much it improves the look of my hair, even after wearing for just an hour or 2

its tight, so holds my hair together, makes it look slicker, and less all over the place blow up messy

Ya, it does tend to knot. I was one of those annoying guys who used to tug on female friends' hair ties just to annoy them, didn't see it as a big deal, but how I've learned to respect them since my hair has been growing out. Sorry ladies!

Go for the Tom Cruise hair. It's just inherently cool looking.

    Lightbulb Help!!!

Hey guys not too sure if this is the right place to post but Im currently growing my hair and I want to do it black with red tips whats the easiest way to do this I currently have dark hair (Dark Brown) So I was thinking of dyeing it black then getting some blonde colourant and spiking my hair just flicking the tips with it and then finally putting red on it, few worries though.

Will my hair go wrong when I put the blonde on top of the black and how long should I leave it before putting in a different colour and if I put the red on the blonde will it go orange and not red, suppose if it goes wrong I could just shave it all off lol whats the best way to do this please help otherwise this will be me

I've never dyed my hair but as far as I can remember most if not all blonde hair dyes contain a chemical called "peroxide" which is most notably found in bleach and as such it has the same effect as bleach on hair and as a, the blonde dyes also have the blonde colouring latched on as well...

So I'd say after a day or so of having your hair dyed black I'd say it'd be safe to die the tips of your hair blonde and then dying them red...

Don't know if thats how it would work as I've never dyed my hair or see anyone else dye their's so perhaps someone can correct me if applicable??

P.S. How do you describe that hair style? I don't want to go in and say "Tom Cruise hair please" .

i really wouldnt bleach dyed black hair. However, if you're determined, dye it black, then leave it for a good few days, wash it every day as the dye will keep washing out for a few days (yes permenant dyes do this too), then i would suggest getting gerome russel (available in boots) lightening kit - they do one for men and i think it's good on darker hair colours.

BE WARNED THOUGH bleaching black hair may result in it turning blue/green. Leave the bleach on the desired places for as long as you like, it only has an activation time of about 30 mins. It *WILL* go orange at first, do not freak out, as it's part of the bleaching process. If after 30 mins your hair is not the desired lightness, you'll have to wash it out, dry your hair completely and apply the bleach again. This is quite often necessary with darker hair colours.

One thing i will say though, when you're in getting your bleach/dye, pick up a sachet of the Aussie 3 minute miricle conditioner. Apply this after you've applied the red to the tips of your hair. Leave it on for half an hour then wash it off. This is the most intense moisturising conditioner i've found that actually works on abused hair. And boy, have i abused my hair.

    right, hope that helps

Well seeing as it's been revived.

Mine's usually quite curly, but the other week one of my flatmates grabbed me and straightened it...

It was good, but I wouldn't like it like that all the time.
