I hardly use mine but, It was the meter of choice when I was too young to afford one. I bought it from a car show about 15 years ago and the guy had a pallet stacked up with them. These days I just use a quality digital, At least that way I don't have to calculate for meter loading.
You have reminded me, I should check the batteries in mine incase they have started leaking.
lol thats just it, when at a car boot sale the punters expect stuff to be given away.
I had a Nintendo Gameboy which I was selling at the last one I did some 2 years ago, I was asking £10, would accept £7.00 as I'd put some new batteries in it aswell, so was looking to really cover the cost of buying those. This really old manky couple come up to me and offer £1 for it ! I said jog on love, I'm selling this not giving it away !
Got shot of it on ebay in the end for £20.00
Aye, that's one of the drawbacks of selling at CBSs. Whilst trying really hard not to sound racist in any way, I have to note that certain people of certain countries do seem to be a lot ruder and pushy than others. They always hover around the cars as they are being unloaded and always have huge suitcases with them. Electrical stuff particularly is of great interest, with hifi amps being top of the list.
Last boot sale I did was a very long time ago, but the prices offered by these folk are really funny...
It's the pikeys you have to watch out for, I had a PC at my last one (we were lucky to get an inside table at the social club my parents are members of) as I needed power to show the PC was working, they tried to have the wireless keyboard and mouse away.
