Gas and electric bills
My bloody gas and electricity bills take the mickey. i am with Atlantic and my electricity bill for 90 days is £99.35, there are only 2 of us living here with nothing major running all this juice all the time, and we both work all day so why is it so high.

Is it an estiimate or a real reading, when I was at uni I was living in a house that used to be 2. So we got 2 bills but they couldnt be arsed to read the meters so we got charged full rate on both meters whereas one only had 2 bedrooms on it

Check to see if you have a secondary / backup hot water tank, the immersion might be on - thats what happened to me

That's nothing...we got our electricity bill through and the first quarter came to £700, the second to £800...
We're in the process of having it checked out...it seems a tad on the high side to me...

Do you run a small Hotel

Mine usually runs £100/quarter.
Have a server rack with 5 servers going 24/7 and the electric bill for last 6 months was £200.
Get some meter readings thrown in at them pronto.
Three bed apartment. Everything elec, no gas. No immersion heater. My rig running 12 hours, several TVs running the same (inc. the 42 inch plasma, surround, sat, etc)...
My jaw dropped when I saw it....cheeky blighters...can't wait to hear what excuses they come up with...

How do you get hot water then?
We have a stove where we burn smart alec senior members...
My mistake, we have a timer based immersion heating system, rather than a 24/7 system. So for all that money, we still run out of hot water after about 2pm....

About £120 a quarter here - just me and my wife - though I work from home so there's usually 2 PCs on all day (and possibly the TV and the laptop if I'm working really hard). Still seems a bit high though so I've been thinking of changing supplier (we have a combi boiler for all heating and hot water so it really ought to be lower than it is... Though the shower is electric and according to the wife I spend ages in there
