What cases of First World Problems / Middle Class Abuse did you suffer as a child?

Mostly I got viciously mocked about my preference for sci-fi and fantasy novels, and general geekiness.
The 1d6+Cha mod damage I could cope with, it's the -2 to attacks that got me down....![]()
Kind of confused at the title, and your original post did not seem to back up the title, was this a light hearted attempt at addressing child abuse?.
My father kicked the **** out of me as a child, literally, but I guess Scaryjim's answer kinda put it back on track.
Abuse is a difficult subject for many so perhaps you might want to modify your thread title to reflect the exact nature of the abuse you suffered.....wording is always SO important when you are not face to face.........however convivial you might feel on the internet!!
Animus, it reminds me of that Bryan Adams song my Uncle Bob used to sing to me
Baby you're all that I want
When you're lyin' here in my arms
I'm findin' it hard to believe
you're eleven
Dingo, it was a joke, lighten up. Not everything ever posted should be serious.

I tend to agree with Dingo on the title issue, Animus, would you mind awfully modifying it please ?
I know quite a few HEXUS members have suffered real abuse as youngsters, and I don't really think it's that funny...
Ta very much.
The Lemmings puzzle book ?
Good times! I liked another game book - Search for the Golden Acorn by Puffin books. Need to buy it off Amazon, maybe I can play this on the train!
It was the result of a nights drinking with a fellow hexite, its intended to be light hearted take on a serious issue.
OilSheikh it was the excellent video game http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemmings_(video_game)

Which was a terrific piece of kit. The anti-aliasing and font technology was so far ahead of anything else at the time.

I like the title, its certainly better, but in the same "open to see what is actually going on" genre as the rubbishy "Is it just me".

I can see both sides of the fence on this one, no offence taken personally but I did open the thread thinking it would become a bit of a Hexus support thread, only to think slightly bad taste, but lemmings sure was good. Blocker, digger, builder, boom....
I had the ignomy of playing it on the Amstrad CPC6128 though - Dad bought it and arrived home one night. It was the disk version too. No waiting for cassettes with this game - oh no! I found it the other day. If anyone wants it (Still boxed) then let me know.
Anyone remember TieFighter?
I remember endless hours (well, when you are young anything that doesn't happen instantly is endless!) of frustration in trying to get enough XMS memory for it to load, and then about 45 minutes of playing the game before it was time for bed.
Edit to add link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_TIE_Fighter
I edited the title.. as gently as I could.
I did laugh.. it made me laugh... but I've not suffered... and HEXUS is a place to be free of the world, and sometimes of the nasty memories of life.
The Animus.. I'm sorry... I editied it as moderately as I could so as not to ruin it.... the humour so nearly worked... so close... but just missed.
Hope no one is offended

I seem to remember needing to be in 3 places at once.
Thread title may aswell be completely changed to something about retro games now since the joke is gone. Can see the reasoning behind it, difficult to judge since I've never been in that position.
