    Really interesting video - I think it's easy to forget just how much the ice cover varies with the seasons!

    It'd be nice to see a run of a single month through the years: I suspect you'd see a similar pulse as the seasonal pattern (but with much smaller variation, obviously). For instance, September 1990 seems to have a wider spread of ice than September 2000, so there are long term fluctuations as well as seasonal fluctuations. Fascinating stuff
