    Question RMA Advice

    Hi guys I am just looking for some advice.

    I rma'ed a 2TB Western Digital Black HDD due to device failure. I sent it first class recorded last week and it was delivered next day.

    I checked my WD Account the next day and it had not updated so I decided to contact them RE: the RMA. They have said that they have not received the drive yet even though RM has said it is delivered.

    Any idea what I should do now? I replied yesterday saying it is shown as delivered on Royal Mail but they have not replied yet.

    Send them proof of RM delivery - scan or print screen. There is presumably some method for viewing the signature/print of who signed for it as well?

    I've never had any problems with WD in the psst, its probably just not hit their processing system yet.

    Sorry for thread revival, but how did you get on with this?

    I'm also currently in the process of RMAing a drive, picked advance replacement, although they still haven't shipped it after 3 working days. RM report the faulty one as delivered this morning, but signature is a squiggle and name is 'crook' which is a bit disconcerting...

    Hi mate basically they sorted it out and sent me a replacement drive. Unfortunately their replacement drive was DOA. I complained and after a further 2 weeks or messing about they told me they were out of stock. And if I would be willing to accept an external essential drive.

    I told WD that this was not possible as the drive was for my home server. And that the only thing I would accept would be either a like for like swap (a 2TB Black drive) or a 3TB Red drive. They sent me a 3TB Red drive which is now working perfectly

    Took ages and was a pain but outcome in the end was satisfactory.

    Thanks, replacement was apparently just dispatched but faulty one still isn't showing up as received.

    Did you get the drive in the end mate? Sorry for the thread necro but the only reason I found it is that I am in the exact same position and my proof of delivery was also signed by someone named "CROOK" !

    I found this very strange and assumed the drive had been stolen by someone in the postal system (with a twisted sense of humour) until I found this thread.
