The gem of the report is when they introduce Harriet Harman with the words "So, Page 3 has it's knockers".

The most shocking thing about that is how pathetic the guy from the Sun's arguments were, he just kept trying to deflect the issue when he should have just said that people enjoy looking at partially clothed women, and the women involved are happy to pose for the photos and may even enjoy it, so who are you to push your opinions of what's right on to everyone else.

Although it is often hard to defend yourself against an argument where you just want to shout "what's bloody wrong with it?"
From the other side, if they don't like it don't buy it. Same as they presumably don't buy porn. Don't tell other people what they can and cannot buy.
If that many people were put off by the pictures the Sun would stop in order to attract a larger readership and make more money.
If men wish to be exploited by buying a newspaper simply because some women have persuaded a newspaper publisher to pay them for allowing them to publish topless photographs of themselves, that is their problem.
However, I can see why Harriet Harperson would be upset, because no newspaper would want to publish topless photos of her. Clear discrimination against her.

I'm confused about what part of the 21st century means that we are all immediately so much more evolved and past the idea of enjoying pictures of naked women, what exactly is wrong with a woman aspiring to being on page 3?
I think her opinion and attitude was extremely old fashioned and if anything, she is the one who needs to open her mind and evolve a little.
I actually think the guy made some good arguments, especially when they started talking about the protest which loads of 'high profile' people signed up to. What relevant does their profile actually have in this matter?
I dont like the Sun and im not a big fan of P3 but, i see no point in trying to get rid of it!

People think if they are offended by something it gives them an extra right to dictate whether it should be allowed or not. WRONG! Who are they to decide what others should be able to view!!

I'm pretty conflicted on the subject, male sexuality is centred around wanting women, we chase, we bribe, we cajole and convince a woman to want us. Women get power from that behaviour, from showing off that they are worth chasing and from being able to deny men.
Having something like Page 3 reduces women because, much like fashion magazines, it presents often unrealistic images which men compare them too.
