Why would Hamza's family still be allowed a 5 bedroom house?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-19878777

Assuming this is funded by tax payers and assuming theBBC is right about there only being two of his kids there plus his Missus.... Why is it right that the five bedroom home is still funded by uk tax payers?

I'm trying very hard not to be a Mail or Telegraph reader, but I can definately feel a blood temp increase occurring

    And you?

The fact that it's Hamza is totally irrelevant, which is, regrettably, what I'm sure most in the media will focus on.

I'm sure there's a legal/logistical reason somewhere along the line, but rationally and morally I cannot understand how this sort of thing can happen.

Re: Why would Hamza's family still be allowed a 5 bedroom house?

Tenancy had no time limit, they can't be forced out. That is changing however will not affect tenants who already have that luxury.
I can totally understand why people may not want to move from the home they've had for X years but it is a bit of a silly situation to say the least.

(not that I agree with the situation of course regardless of who the hubby is)

Doesn't matter who it is, it's just silly.
They should be forced to find somewhere new or rent out the other rooms or something (money for which would go to the council)

The new regulations sound far better.

I often wonder about these things.
Afghan single mom with 8 kids in a £1m mansion is another example. I blame the Govt. for giving her a mansion. I blame the lady for having 8 kids. I again blame the govt. that she claims child benefit for most likely all 8 kids.

I look at Nigerians driving around in massive SUV's and I always wonder ... I am a law abiding citizen who does a 40k job , pay my taxes and bills and I bet I can't afford a big bugger like that, how can they do it then ?

Re: Why would Hamza's family still be allowed a 5 bedroom house?

Legislation is changing. Social housing provided by a council or housing association acting on behalf of local councils will indeed be able to ask a tenant to move into a smaller accommodation that meets their need; however the obligation will be with the council or association to find the family concerned an alternative, this has not been fully rolled out across all councils or housing association yet.

Consideration will also be made as to whether extended family i.e daughter in laws are accommodated within the same home, the same as other social housing, whether or not they are in receipt of housing benefits, but more importantly the consideration of do people want her to move because of her connections with My Hamza himself ( as that would be discrimination ).

I agree that anyone living in a 5 bed-roomed house that no longer requires it should move into a smaller one should there be one available for them.

Of course, phase 2 will involve housing multiple families in large houses.

    Quite possibly............
I can honestly say though, hand on heart, that i am GLAD he has gone, and i hope that one day, his family, friends, and ANYONE that sympathises with him dies quite horrifically.
Why should we care if he is tortured back where he comes from? I hope the Americans torture as much from him as possible.

People like him (and those around him), are the lowest form of life this planet has to deal with.

I have spent a large proportion of my working life having to fight this perverse form of thinking, and for every oppo i saw die, i wish they could take a million of him with them.

The real issue is council do not have homes for social housing. They sold them off remember??

Rotten to the core! they all have the same disease.

My only regret in the extradition of Hamza is that he made it safely over the Atlantic.
