What is Aston like? I'm starting in September!! Do you know if the Lawrence Tower accomodation is alright?

i looked round aston as i went on the open day, but im not going there

the towers arnt that nice, there jus standard uni accomadation nothing special really, but there are a few small apartments which are brand new which are really nice if you can get into them, think they cost a bit more

as for the tower rooms there ok, there livable but i have seen better, as long as your not on the top floor im sure youll be ok

i feel safe walking around portsmouth, if your worried just make sure you always walk everywhere with one or two mates, because chavs will never attack people when there are more of you than them
when i got punched the first time it was because i was with my girlfriend and my mate walking home at 5 in the winter, it was dark and they were hiding around a corner, just ran out and punched me in the head, was quite funny and i got that bas**rd sent to juvenile for 6 months...or so i was told by the cops
second time was on the train home, lol they came in and me and my friend had a bit f a boxing match with them

dont be scared by what im saying here because they see you as a completly different person to me-i have my posh arsed blazer on and youll just blend in

so like i said no worries
youll love it im sure

lived in Portsmouth since my uni days, so i guess 12 years or so. It was rough, once, but not anymore. My biggest irritation are the chavs, confusing my car with 'one of theirs' and keep waving to me only to get ignored in return... I don't have a problem wandering around, at anytime of day or night, but then again im a 30 year old bloke. You just don't do stupid things, but thats the case anywhere...
