    I need a new laptop bag

    In 2005, dearest Rys reviewed the Pakuma Akara K1. I got one that same year.

    I have been using mine 5 days a week ever since, more or less. But now, 7 years later, it's wearing out a bit. So I want to replace it.

    Any suggestions? Or shall I just get another K1? I thought about the K3 but I only have a 13" laptop and although the extra space would be good, I can knacker my back & shoulders with a full K1 as it is.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    I've got the Belkin Impulse Line Slim Back Pack for my 15" laptop so I have extra space, In fact for work-holidays I can bring two laptops, 10" tablet, kindle and accessories.

    I use it on a daily basis for the past couple years and it's holding up very nicely.

    They also do a 15" version which would probably be better suited for your needs

    I'm on my 4th K3. After the last one failed (stitching around the zip coming away again - thank heaven for the lifetime warranty) I bought a K1 and a Crumpler courier bag on Ebay. The build quality of the K1 just seems more robust tbh (than on the K3), though I do have to admit that my K3 carries a pretty serious amount of kit some days.

    The Crumpler however: for days when I don't need to carry the world with me and also I'm not cycling the bag is amazing. Well padded, surprisingly roomy (with only my Asus Ultrabook, iPad and Kindle in there I still have plenty of room for a packed lunch, various chargers and a small toolkit) and... just lovely. Pretty sure I'll be moving from Pakuma to Crumpler when the current K3 dies - lifetime warranty is fine, but I could have bought a new bag by now from the money I've spent returning the failed ones to Scan.
