    foriegn exchange

Im going on a last minute holiday on Wedensday to Ibiza, what's my best bet money wise. Is it too late to take travellers cheques? If so, where is the best place for me to change my money into Euros - a bank or travel agents?

Might be too late for travellers cheques, but try some of the bigger branches of banks / travel agents.

I got my best rate for Yen at an independent bureau de change near Victoria station, but I'd guess that travel agents might be slightly better than banks. (Judging by the lousy, jacked-up rate Lloyds gave me one time).

Check whether you can draw cash from ATMs over there; risky if you can't, but you might get a better rate. I'd check the current 'real' rate (say at xe.com) and then phone round a few places and do the math...

    Enjoy!

do not change money out there - you WILL get ripped off. they will charge you a commision of about 20% which takes the piss.they think you don't notice because its in euros hence take advantage of the difference...
    do it before you go.
