The jazz legend Dave Burbeck has died at 91. I hate most of these RIP threads as people die every day. The thing is, in my mind what a great innings that man had, so I thought it worth sharing one of his more famous pieces with you unwashed prolies.

Loved this bit of music. Could play the main bit on the piano too! Shame hes gone. A brilliant, talented man.
I could listen to that bloke's music for hours. It's the devil to actually play though! Sad to see him go but everyone has their time.

My parents made me attend a recorder group on Saturday mornings at a local museum (convinced I'd be a musical genius I guess), so I learned Take Five on the descant recorder at the age of about 10. I nailed it too! I've never heard another piece in 5/4 that is actualy good IMO; take Money by Pink Floyd as example of how not to do it
This guy is amazing, so talented!
