Favourite alcohol ? for Xmas ?

OK, just spent a few bob on booze, and was wondering what alcohol you lot buy as a matter of course, and now, what are you getting/have got for Christmas as a treat ?

I like Magners & Westons Vintage cider for everyday, along with red wine, Islay malt whisky (Laphraoig ftw), Pastis and ginger wine. Thats my standard list, I usually have most of that in house. Sally additionally has white wine.

For the treat, this year I have a bottle of 1994 vintage port (crusted, not LBV) just decanted into my 40% crystal decanter , a wonderful bottle of Corréges Calvados (42% bv, £29 a bottle from my local cheese shop / deli), a couple of bottles of Cremant de Loire fizz, a couple of chateau bottled red, including my all time fave, a 2009 Lamarzelle Figeac, a Grand Cru of St Emilion. We also brought a couple of cases of a wonderful dark brown beer from France called Pelforth Brunne, a few bottles of Creme du Cassis, Mure and Framboise. edit : Oh and a bottle of Pinaut de Charent

    Yummy

Homebrew! I have a keg of dark ale flavored with rum and black treacle that's been conditioning for a few months ready for next week.

Just treated myself to a litre of Woodford Reserve from duty free, might last me until January

    Thinking the same thing myself

My drink of choice is ale, but I prefer it from a good pub rather than from a bottle. So will probably go out for a pint or two at some point and get some take away beer from one of the better locals. My pub of choice is on perfect pint so I can eye up whats on, and whats stashed in the cellar. 4 pints of Harveys Christmas Ale (8.1%) and 4 pints of Darkstar Expresso might be on the cards, only problem is timing it right to get both, will just have to keep going back until both are on

Belizian One Barrel Rum. If anyone can find somewhere that sells it in the UK, I'd be MOST chuffed.

I've got some nice wine put away for it, including a couple of bottle of Cremant & a bottle of 2000 vintage Medoc, which should be quite tasty.
