Just looking for some advice. I have always loved skeleton watches where you can see everything that goes on inside.
Can anyone recommend any which are automatic and dont need to be wound?
Really dont want to spend more than £400.
Thanks

Tissot Le Locle.
Swiss watch with a real movement and a partly crystal case back. It's available with a leather strap or bracelet.

Thanks for links so far. I really want to see the mechanics from the front face rather than the back.
I really liked the ingersoll boonville watch but cant find it anywhere for sale.

The Swatch watches have a clear front.

Sturling seem to have quite a few with vary varied price range.

As does M. Johansson.

I've always liked skeleton watches too, but as many of the automatic ones are quite big, they look a bit silly on my pencil wrists

I've got one of these that I picked up for £40 a little over a year ago, I'm sure they'll go on offer again at some point. It gains a couple of minutes each week, I've got no idea if that's normal as it's my first mechanical watch, I just like watching its guts!
Why did I instantly think of infra-red cameras in a graveyard when I read the thread title?

Not to mention bizarre - why would skeletons show up on infrared?
(I know, I know.. IR illuminated..)
I used to have an Accurist skeleton watch. It's life ended when it had an argument with a changing room floor.
So did you buy a watch in the end neonplanet40?
Have another option for you if you havn't.

On the bright side it's £88. (£265 listed on their web site http://www.seagullwatch.eu/auto/M182SLK.php)
On the down side it does say 'China made' on the front. So everyone will see it....
Back on the plus side i got a Chinese skeleton watch about 6 years ago for £16 that hasn't fallen apart, Sea-Gull do seem to have a reasonable reputation online too and alot of other similar watches do use a sea-gull movement (invicta waches certainly do)

An update:
I have only now (yes lots of things coming up and taking my money meant I had to wait) got this:

I have liked this watch for a while now. It had the look I wanted and it 'seems' like a decent watch. It has cost me £200.
