    Andrew Marr

I think that many of us here would regard ourselves as admirers of Andrew Marr's broadcasting skills and interviewing ability so you might like to join me in wishing him a quick recovery after his recent stroke at the age of 53.

There's a human quality to Andrew Marr that seems to somehow make him a man of the people; a quality that often eludes those of Andrew's intellectual ability.

    Get well soon Andrew!

    Aye, a great man imo
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

Thanks Barry and g8ina for an otherwise truly underwhelming show of support. Oh well, compassion becomes the latest trait lost in modern Britain .

Well, we're a community and expressing collective empathy is good for the soul.

You never know, it isn't inconceivable that our good wishes might reach the man and raise his spirits.

It's not as if you're being asked to send money. Sheesh .

You're just grumpy cos you've got nothing to do for the next 10 months, and 'er indoors has got you on chores.

    Re: Andrew Marr

Y'see, now this is where you're wrong. I work ALL year hiding Christmas presents in places where kids will never find them. For example, I put them on top of the wardrobe, under the stairs and behind the settee. Kids never find them and all mums and dads have to do is get them out on Christmas Eve to complete the surprise.

I couldn't deliver presents to everyone in one night. I mean, get real. If you're gonna believe in me you gotta not be daft about it.

If I do get any time to myself, I try to encourage people to be nice to others; even strangers. But it's hard work .

I did wonder who was responsible for me tripping over boxes in my bedroom for the last 6 months
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

Well I wish Andrew Marr well, but in his capacity as a human being, rather than as a political journalist, as I would most people with a serious medical condition.

Fair enough peter. I wouldn't have known of Andrew Marr the human being if he wasn't such a good political journalist but you're right, the key here is of being nice about human beings who have fallen on bad times.
