ok, i want to purchase something off this chap, but hes in italy, thats not a problem however because he said he'd ship it to the UK.

but! the price he is charging is 300 odd quid less than any one else.

I've never bought anything from an overseas ebayer, never intend to, BUT

saying this he looks fairly legit and good, few ebay cowboys have that much positive feed back

oh my god nearly fell for it!

he was emailing me from graphicart_store@yahoo.it
he had HTML emails set up in the same way as graphic-arts email shop, and looked legit, so i looked into it a bit more, and saw that graphic-art used another email for ebay, no big deal, we all have at least 2 email addys. so i mailed the store address saying "i'll ring western union tonight then contact you after" for this reply

"INTERNATIONAL USERS:

ATTENTION! whichever email coming from, or that it must be sended to a accouunt DIFFERENT from this (in order to contact to us) is probably only a fake or swindle."

crap english but gets the point across.

My moral for today, dont buy outside ebay when contacted threw ebay :|

Sounds like this chappy. He's perhaps hijacked a load of accounts. Guy in Italy selling X800XT's from an account of someone who usually sells womens clothes and asks not to pay using Buy It Now but to contact him, probably to send him the money indirectly...

The NUMBER 1 RULE to follow on ebay is any1 who CONTACTS YOU is a scammer!!!!! (the only ppl who should contact you are those you have contacted first!)

quite a few ppl have started putting in their auctions that they do not contact the losing bidders with second chances as its a scammers favourite it seems!

remember engage your brain before going to ebay - if it looks to good to be true it is

ebay is becoming so dodgy, with all the scam emails trying to get your details and dodgy sellers. Im surprised people still use it, me included
