But we aren't talking (in this case) about homes, this was in a public place.

And surely tagging 'troublemakers' after they have demonstrated that they are troublemakers is a bit late, maybe everybody should be tagged at birth to so that location and identity of everyone can always be known?

And of course no-one has a criminal record until they have committed a crime.

And you are advocating that all guns should be tagged?

I guess it would work like a point system i.e. the more / serious offence the more you are likely to get tagged.

Obviously there would be exceptions, but with repeat petty offenders ( neds etc ) it would actually count for something , as it would for others who progressively got worse or more serious.

You wont stop the john doe who suddenly goes awol out the blue , but its better than nothing and would certainly stop some of the loopholes we have .

    why not ?

I would even go further and say the tagged criminal should automatically set off the guns alarm to police ( if you dont see them for example ) but they are reasonably close.

My mistake. A mate posted the video on my FB wall and told me it happened in East London. I was misinformed

And who is going to administer this distopian system? Assuming the technology could be made sufficiently robust and undefeatable?

Its going to happen any way , whether we choose to govern ourselves or be governed in a Police state scenario.

We are all getting poorer while rich get richer .

Once the Police are privatized thats it.. we will all be criminals and then we will have no say

People like that make me see why dictators end up cleansing a lot of their population. I could easily see myself becoming like pol pot, but rather than going for people wearing glasses it would be people wearing clothes from super dry.

I have actually thought about the whole gun tagging thing. But I doubt it would ever work due to privacy concerns, and I won't give it an hour before videos appears explaining how to remove them.

I would seek to liberate humans from their ego / animal minds so the notion of resorting to violence and so on was not even an agenda - afterall we're hardly cavemen any more using science . ( though people can choose of course to stay as they are )

All these wars so on in its heart stems from that lack of self awareness ( will ) in the true sense that gives us the unspeakable we can never find in material peace and $$$

So I would get to the heart of it , not waste time chasing each fragmented problem resulting from what should be whole by using science as a shortcut to create a sense of contentment only the seekers usually find.

Not a drug but something more like biofeeback they can control through choosen behaviours rather than other ones, so instead of drug abuse , binge drinking they could feel could by " working out " with their minds - like bodybuilding.

In the meantime i would " disassemble " old structures , habits ( prob with some force of detainment or isolation for our current " masters " ) so they cant pose a threat / contaminate the new - in short I would destroy the whole way we think and operate . ( slowly over time )

That would be my overall aim - to unite everyone by making everyone reunite with themselves , then once we're all on the same page see what we can really do without bickering like children , get people to care about themselves and the world.

It wouldnt be easy , but then nothing worthwhile ever is.

    Population control
Focus on Health Research instead of War and killing so on

    Big plans , eh ?

If people still want war after that, they can join their old masters in isolation with bows and arrows and be slaves and kill & rape each other to their hearts content ,so they would still have a choice ,just not harm or influence the progressive through self importance or self pity.

The old world ways would soon change till only the sadistic real low life would be left in isolation to get into extinction by themselves.

Melon sounds like a stereotypical anime antagonist. Not those 2D villains trying to destroy the world, but with a cause that is somewhat noble on the surface.. until you realise what executing the plans entails.
