best way to post a watch from UK to Germany ?

I need to send one of my Vostok watches to Germany for service, Basically just the watch, no strap so around 300g i think.

is the royal mail international signed for my best bet ?

You should use Airsure: it's cheaper, one day faster and offers compensation of up to 500GBP as standard, whereas with International Signed For compensation is only up to 50GBP unless you pay extra 2.60GBP.

yeh that's about what RM came up with as well

as the watch would cost £480 to replace i guess £11's my only option!

They cannot get the parts as vostok europe only allow one company in the UK to buy parts and they are not as skilled as the place the MD of Vostok Europe suggested I used to get this strange issue of gaining time while driving looked at. Its been too a specialist I was told to try from the watch forums who thinks it's the hair spring catching bit could not get the parts.

your very mistaken, this one i am sending for repair uses an automatic, Russian made, 36hr power reserve, 32 jewels
    Caliber: Vostok 2432

the 2nd one i own has a 2426 Vostok Russian made automatic movement and the latest one i have has moved onto a NH25 SII (Japan); 21 jewel automatic.

besides all that it is going back to the only place suggested by the MD so i'm sure it will be in safe hands
