as you can see from my sig.. a spammer could easily have harvested my address from the forum using a bot...

how he got your address i don't know... maybe we're looking at a more worrying problem if the database episode from a while back has resulted in account info being leaked

Indeed interesting. I may have posted my email publicly on the forums, which would explain how they got it, but i don't remember posting it since the hack. The search also doesn't show it up.

I don't think they could have had leaked information from the database - even if they did get their hands on it, i really doubt any commercial company would be stupid enough to use them.

do a google for : WHOIS

it's public domain registry information

http://www.nic.com/cgi-bin/wp.cgi and put the domain you want to investigate into the box.. easy peasy

for example "s1lv3r.com" will give you my full name and address.

I must admit apart from this froum I don't use that email account for much and don't get much spam on it so this forum is obviously the source some how.

Tis strange to get some spam at random that actually has some relation to my interest though

Now if only I could let the others know my penis is fine as it is and no I don't wish to pay for their pron services I'd be fine :)

There should be a maximum of profiles you can view in an hour. IE. 10. Why would anyone need to see more then 10 in an hour? If someone views more their username gets put in a table then examine it..
