If you're after big prints to cover a wall I'm pretty sure lots of places offer poster printing.

Thinking of printing a couple out at roughly A4 size. Out of the stuff I took on the IoW I like these 2 best:Originally Posted by shiato storm
Both of which are from St Catherine's Point (and have already been touched up, rotated and framed - my photography skills are questionable at best). Real size is 4x bigger than these here so I'm hoping A4 type size will be OK.

Couple more from "Whale Chine":
very nice, particularly the bootom one. as a tip when taking landscape pictures think of what 'they' call the rule of thirds meaning the sky is the top third of the picture, the ground in the middle and any fore-grund inthe lower third. your pictures are very clear and sharp which is fantastic - so many have I seen that lack proper sharpness! anyway with your ones you could safely clip them at the top and thus bring the focus of the picture more towards the sea and rocks...thisis not essential as I personally very much like the crystal clear blue sky and the lazy looking clouds.
scenery pics are normally taken in landscape format but how you've done it makes you look becaue its not normal. simple but effective
if you saw my sunken rock pic i pretty much followed that 'thirds rule' thingy and it came out ok, the attention is not too much on the sky but at the same time you are aware that it is there and it adds to the over all image - because there's a lot going on inthe foreground that leads you out to the sea and makes toy look way off in the distance. at least thats what i got from it anyway!
but I like your pics and blown up super-size they'll look excellent!

wow, you posted two more as i was writing - fantastic one of the shore line!
i'm very very jealous!! great colours, with a dark and brooding landscape and turbulent sea and when you look at the sky it seems totally different and calm...great!

Cheers. I do have one of the driftwood in landscape - just not one of the plant thing and as they're going on the same wall...Originally Posted by shiato storm
This is my wife's favourite (from Blackgang Chine):
I'd like it more except the sky is too bright (over exposed I suppose I should say!) on one end and too hazy on the other... My efforts to even it out a bit haven't worked at all.
I feel I should also say that (god bless digicams) I took a shed load of pictures and have been lucky that some of them came out well. I tend to have a habit of mentally focusing on the image I want and not what's actually in the picture if you see what I mean.
Another one (from Compton Bay) that really needs some photoshop loving (I have access to photoshop but lack photoshop skills):
I really like the variation in the colour of the rocks but it looks like it's about to thunder (it was about to rain but it wasn't as dark a sky as the camera's made it out to be)
colour variation is very good, and despite the fact it may have been a bit brighter at the time it still makes for a rather dramatic effect.
you can do quite a bit with photoshop without having to know too much about it - I taught myself how to use it and i'm still finding new things every day! easiest thing to adjust is contrast/brightness and colour balance...at this stage I wouldn't try doing more, you can get great tings out of it...
I took some of venice a few years back [black and white again]
this was grey and black but adda bit of colour and it becomes transformed into quite an eye catcher..at least thats what my bro says!

That is very dramatic - must be something about purple too:
I've only altered the colour / contrast balance on most things but had a mess around with the colour replacer on this one too. It's still a WIP though as I'm trying to leave some very slight colour (low saturation that is) in some of the non-purple bits and I'm thinking about taking out the remainder of the background (so it's just plain white and not got any detail left from the sea)
Edit: Both this one and the one with the focus on the grass instead of the sea look better bigger (more detail)
looks cool desaturated with only pink flowers left. trying to figure out how you managed that one actually.
i think leave the bit of grey sea thats there adds a bit otherwise it would just drop off the end of the picture.

Nice - I especially like the macro one of the rose on the site. Like the new sig too - might be tempted to adapt that idea at some point!
