    graduate careers fair

Got one next week, should I wear a shirt and tie or are jeans and tee shirt fine aslong as I look respectable? Any tips for me besides the obvious?

That the one at Wembley a week on Friday? I'll probably be there.

If you look (or feel) uncomfotable in a suit, don't wear one (how odd do young interviewees look in a suit that's barely got the label out of it).

I'll probably wear jeans If I think my girlfriend will let me get away with it. Otherwise casual, not-jeans and a shirt / jumper, No tie.

Apart from that my plan is to see what I think I'd enjoy / be good at, and try and look interested! Unfortunately for me I'm quite good at interviews, and bleedin' cr*p on paper (3rd class ) so they tend to really like me until they see a CV.

    Good luck anyway.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

I don't even have a suit yet :O but will probably look like a bit of a lemon in a shirt and tie. This fair is actually in Liverpool on Tuesday. I'll be taking some CVs to give in - there is a standard application form I found HERE that might be of some use to you. Good luck to you also!

It depends what kind of company you want to work for really.

If it's something to do with finance then they'll probably expect you to be wearing a suit. If it's in IT then you can probably get away with anything.

Lol - baggy shorts, a dirty Atari T shirt, and dont shave for a month before hand. You'll fit right in!

I remember going to the interview for my current job in a brand new suit, nice shirt, polished shoes...

The person interviewing me, however, was wearing shorts and sandals! I felt a bit out of place.

    I guess it's better to over-dress than under-dress though.
