    Quidco - Nectar - Do I join?

Right, never looked into this but as I buy things now and again I am wondering if it's worth my while joining both Quidco and Nectar?

I am coming into my last year of university so thinking after all these years of not collecting points and earning cash back from sites would it now be a good idea to even join?

I see Quidco can pay into a PayPal account, which feels secure to me.

Seen as I spend so much wondering if it's worth joining both to get a little something back? Or is there a catch?

    Cheers all

No idea about Nectar but Quidco and also TopCashBack are well worth it
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

Re: Quidco - Nectar - Do I join?

Thanks are there any hidden fees? Or is the basic version of Quidco really free?

Never heard of TopCashBack, I shall take a look

Are you going to spontaneously die or miraculously never going to need to spend money again when you finish university or something? Of course not, get on with you berk it's free money.

Re: Quidco - Nectar - Do I join?

Wouldn't particularly bother with Nectar just speaking personally but quidco & topcashback are worth it imo especially if you are spending the money anyway in the sorts of areas they have good rates on. Quidco used to take a £5 fee iirc, but that changed and now it's a bit more complicated with levels of 'membership' see here (still current info afaik but check it out) http://tinyurl.com/q9wxzq9

Imutual is also worth a look as they quote an actual payout date rather than 'approx 5 weeks' or whatever, and in my experience it's been spot on, which is quite handy to know. Also you get shares (hahaha) but it's something for nothing.

I haven't had a problem with any of the above. The kinda obvious thing to remember is check if you can get a better deal just buying a cheaper item elsewhere than assume item + cashback is your best overall deal.

This. Quidco and Topcash are no brainers. Quidco used to charge £5 annually but are no longer charging that so now in line with Topcash, also free. I prefer Quidco out of the two personally.

Their regular level is still free (named "Classic"), they just have a level above that which they charge £5 for (called "Plus") that apparently gives increased rates and dedicated support.

Yup, another vote for "ignore nextra, join QC/TCB"

Had hundreds back from them over the years.

Personally I'm a fan of nectar. Getting a free bottle of wine in points every so often feels pretty rewarding even if it is 1% cashback (literally).

Up to £5 cashback on any book or e-book from amazon with topcashback until the 22nd sept.

    http://www.topcashback.co.uk/get-rea...h-topcashback/

Ie 100% money back on a £5 book or £5 back on anything above. Have tried it seems to work fine - if buying from a 3rd party seller it gives cashback on price of book only not p&p charge as you'd expect - if buying from Amazon I assume it's up to £5 of inclusive total.

Re: Quidco - Nectar - Do I join?

I use Nectar because i'm going to my local BP for petrol and Sainsbury's for food anyway. Plus I get some on ebay.

Quidco have been OK but have had several issues with it not tracking purchases correctly, and it can be a bit of a pain. Also a lot of people seem to buy junk they don't really need because of Quidco/HUKD. Although it can give a few percent back, for many poeple I think it just encourages a bad buying mindset.
