    So, Today this happened.....

    Peeps.

Since my wife is not home I need a shoulder to cry on.

One of my monitors has packed in and I am truly gutted. Had it about 5 years now and it just will not turn on.

    Down to 1 screen now

Feel like I have lost a testicle. Need cheered up now.

Luckily for you uncle Robert may be able to help, what size monitor did you have and does it need to be a particular spec?

Was it expensive/are you desperate to have them matched? I'd bet it's a power supply problem, if they have a brick try swapping it over, otherwise whip the back off and check the caps. My last 2 TVs have both been brought back from the dead by replacing caps

My mate had testicular cancer 5 years ago. OK now having had it chopped out, but I suspect he'd rather have lost a monitor. Mainly because he loves cheesy fantasy movies so we all call him the bolloclops....

i did try that. its like the power is coming on for a second then cuts out right away. did strip it down and check the power board but all looks alright. no signs of burnout! or damage at all.

Turn the situation in to a positive and treat yourself to a new monitor, quite surprised that I received some junk mail from a supplier yesterday on deals on Acer monitors, 21.5" for £69.99 - bargain I thought.

Love the effort, but that last line just doesn't scan properly.

Then he will get back, his missing, e-peen.

    scans a bit better imo.

Thats what I thought - hence the excess of commas

That does work well though "TheAnimus variation"! I don't think I'll be taking up song writing as a second career though
