Trouble With Buying Online Using Paypal

I was placing an order with an online PC components supplier (Not sure I can name them under forum rules?) I was going to pay with my Paypal account to £70 value, which would come out of my funds.

I also had an offer of free postage on this order. But when in came to pay I went through the Paypal login ect, as I was returned to the final pay page. I was told as the address was unconfirmed it would take an extra 2 day plus a postage charge of £6.99

Knowing my address is confirmed (as said on Paypal site) I found this very frustrating and had ordered from the site before.

I have also had problems with Paypal on Steam had to wait 4 days for £1.99 to go through.

Wonder if it is me, or do retailers not trust paypal?

(Sorry if this sounds like a rant)

Well, for some reason the computer processing your order thinks the 2 addresses are different.

Is it possible you didn't leave a gap between the house number and street name or something? Be sure to compare your spelling on both the order page and your Paypal profile.

A good tip, but I am quite OCD about entering my address, I do quite a bit of selling on eBay and it always surprises me how many people don't use any caps or put the post code with no gap. I know it is not needed to still get to the right place, but still.

there scared of paypal returning funds ...as they do .. if theres any problems ..
What does it matter now if men believe or no?
What is to come will come. And soon you too will stand aside,
To murmur in pity that my words were true
    (Cassandra, in Agamemnon by Aeschylus)

To see the wizard one must look behind the curtain ....
