    Bit of nostalgia there - BOAC!

    I was trying to date it - looking at some of the cars on the ground and the fact that the VC10 was introduced into service in 1962 I'd say it was made in around 1965.

    Just to note, the last VC10 in RAF service made its final flight on 20th September.

    Not surprising there are still so few female pilots as little has changed. The reek of smug arrogant sociopathic public schoolboy testosterone-poisoned culture is still strong to this day.

    Hmmmm, now if only I had been born in the '40s this would be such a useful video
    Nowadays though the best route afaik is to learn to glide first...so much cheaper as a first step if you dont have ~75k in the bank

    That's not true, I've always found a position for any female on my flight deck, no matter how cramped conditions there are.

    But then again, I'm not commercial
