    I love these things but they always seem to take so long to go from novel science to routine practice/practical use.

    I'm impressed that we're close to being able to 3d print tissues and organs; the tech is already finding use for implants but building flesh and bone is mind blowing! Reminds me of the machine in Fifth Element that rebuilds Leeloo in slices... maybe not so far fetched!
