Sad news, and sympathies to family and friends. I've read, and enjoyed, most of his books.

I wonder what happened? The most detail I've seen so far is "after a brief illness".

Absolutely amazing author, his work is awesome and easy to read and get into.

Love the games based on his work old and new.

Think I will fire up Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six tonight to pay homage to him.

That's a great shame. I have read many of his books and one of my fav all time books was Red Storm Rising. Had the game on the Amiga donkeys years ago too!!

Wow, what a real shame, and a great loss to the genre.

I've read the majority of his books and thoroughly enjoyed all of them.
