How much excercise do you do? Do you do enough of it, or do you think you could do with far more?
What sort of excercises would you recommend to someone like me who is in need of loosing weight? :o :p

i walk around all day at work, and play some form of sport now and again. and i play my sisters dance mat alot ! :p
I go to the gym 2-3 times a week, haven't been recently cos I went on holiday, then I came back and currently have flu :(
I hardly do any excercise besides my paper round and going for bike rides.
I seriously need to get into shape :( I've started eating more healthily, so that should help.
Buy a dance mat for your PS2. its funny as hell when ur with people and/or drunk :D
I don't own a piece of crap, I mean electronic equipment, such as a PS2 I'm affraid.
you can buy 1's that plug straight into your TV also ;)
My bike is finally working properly again (touch wood!) so I went for a ride just now. I'm lucky to live in a fairly nice area with woodlands, canals, etc to go for rides in. Cycling is a good exercise and I enjoy it :p
So where do you work Russ?
A hospital.
my exercise routine is as follows -
1. move hand to pint
2. lift pint to mouth and tip
3. swallow liquid refreshment
4. lower glass to table and retract arm
repeat as many times as feels necessary, and you'll see the difference in no time !
Not having a car i walk everywhere which saves me money and gives me exercise. I reguarly walk into town with friends (1hr walk, we stop off on a few places on the way though). I also play football, cricket, frisbee.. whatever takes the fancy of friends really... going out for a game of golf in a bit actually. At uni i do NOTHING. Noone i know at uni really wants todo anything. Did play frisbee ONCE last year but other then that i dont know enough people for a good game of footie and there's nothing really anyone else wants todo "exercise" wise :(
I gotta get myself a punchbag though this year. Had a go on my friends one and it was great - a real stress relief and i was knackered after an hour of intermediate goes on it :D Although i dont know where to get enough sand or clothes to fill one with.
I live ion the centre of Bristol During term time so I walk everywhere, at least an hour of brisk walking a day. Walking to the cinema is also a regular exercie as it's over 30mins there and back
I shall attempt to mimick the badger dance for 10 minutes in the morning and evening whilst listening to the song and see if that helps me lose weightQuote:
I'm gonna start going for bike rides more often. Like half an hour a time every day. See if that helps me lose weight. It better do
Been trying to put on weight and keep in shape this summer so been doing alternate days of running (~5km) and a 90 min upper body workout with a set of weights in my room.
Within a couple of weeks I'll have my bike built up (been without one since starting uni).
I generally eat healthily and don't drink much (except during term :p ) and weight in at a svelte 10 or 11 stone (can't remember which) for 5' 10.5"
Pics?
:p
What? Of me?
You don't want to see
If you're on about the bike, all I can disclose is that it's costing me approx. £600, is fully rigid and has a cow coloured saddle.
Of you and the bike
:p
I used to go to the gym for two hours before college on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays (before work). Judo on Tuesdays and Sambo on Thursdays. Sometimes rock climbing at an indoor place in Whitefield on a Wednesday. Swimming after college on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Then, two years ago, I got a shoulder injury which means whenever I try to do something strenuous, my shoulder dislocates. Been on an NHS waiting list for the past 24 months, lost alot of fitness, strength, endurance, put on alot of weight, had personal/drug problems, went off the rails abit. BUT! Having surgery at the beginning of October which should rectify the problem - meaning I should be able to start training again after 10 months of more physiotherapy.
Don't really do a ser amount each week or anything like, I do play squash at least twice a week though and also football once a week.
The only exercise I get is golf (it's a lot of walking, honest) and DDR... or Dance Dance Revolution to you n00bs :p Seriously though, DDR is great fun and it really gets you sweating , especially if you do something like Max 300 on Expert :D
Go to http://www.stepmania.com/stepmania/ and download the program and some songs. Get this adapter [http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/catalog...products_id=81 and this mat http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/catalog...roducts_id=292 and you're set :) I even modded my pad with some MDF and plexiglass, it's great now! I'll get some pics if you want.

don't do any specific excersise at present but should do - i have the problem of wishing to put on some weight rather than lose any tho - have been 6'1" & 10st for as long as i can remember so theres not much of me (but started developing a slight beer belly since passing the age of 30..which i don't wish to get out of hand)
walk 1/2 mile to work & back daily, but thats about it
will be checking this thread regularly to see what the rest of u do, for suitable suggestions methinks
Push ups, sit ups and weights every night, i don't loose weight........i gain it :/
