Over the years of me replacing worn out stuff or taking apart things given or found, I have ended up with boxes of working (mostly) but worthless tech. Like old keyboards with the letters worn off, IDE CD-ROM units, 32GB Hard Drives, mountains of wire, switches, motors, 56k modem cards, Mobo's from god knows what, screws and whatnots.
Back when I first got each item I used to eBay stuff but got fed up with the little money from it and people saying that thing you sold me does not work I want my money back. So no longer sell this kind of item.
I see videos all the time where someone turns a old keyboard and a pile of cassette tapes in to a 3D printer. I am well stocked on parts but low on ideas.
When I first started collecting it was more to save this stuff from being landfill, I know places do "recycle" some tech but plastic and other parts from this still end up on landfill, great shame.
So any ideas? The strange, mad and how about are most welcome
In the past I have used little bits around the house, Like a HDD top plate to support a coat hook and a old heat sink to hold up my BT modem (that thing gets hot )
(This is not an advert to sell anything, it's my junk get your own)
