if you mean the pics below the black line then yes - they're signatures.
If you go to the UserCP link at the top of this page, you can edit your signature from there.

You have to host the image on your own webspace and it has to be no more than 500x100 in size.

It is a nice thing to have but not essential...forget it for a while, maybe make a nice signature (100 high...inclusing text, and 500 long) and one day....bam...you'll have the posts
