    Can you stick pins/safety pins in PVC?

    laydee's - does anyoe know the likelihood of tearing a pvc dress if you pin it/put safety pins in it? lol urgent help required

    PVC is pretty strong but there are different thickness' of it.

    We use it at work to make waterproof furniture before you lot acuse me of having pvc hotpants

    indeed, it shudnt rip it, BUT, it will make a hole in it

    which, as said could be remelted, but you might pass out from the fumes if you do so

    hmmm pvc? holes? no....i wont start..

    gaffa tape h'emthay - that's the way to do it! inside out and gaffatape/superglue the seams where you want them

    lol ive got it sussed, I'm gunna get my pal to help me tomorrow, i think we'll buy superglue just incase stitches wont hold it

    i'm a bit late for this one i know....but for future reference surely heating the pins before inserting would create a self-sealing hole as it penetrated?

    just my 2p, can't say i have any PVc lying around to test it on unfortunately
    if it ain't broke...fix it till it is
