Actually thats an understatement.
I am KNACKERED. I had just the right amount of sleep to make you feel terrible when you wake up.
What can I do? Suggestions?

Even on my days off between shifts I don't seem to be able to catch up.
Redbull is good for a 'get you outta jail' thing. I do that when I'm falling asleep behind the wheel. PUll over, chug a redbull and 10 minutes later back on the road awake and alert again. I think it has something to do with the change of season though, everyone seems to be suffering from fatigue at work.
I drink lots of coffee. Then I tend to catch up at the weekend, I can easily sleep 11 hours or more an a Friday night. It doesn't help much really, 'cos then I end up going to bed at 3am on Sunday and the cycle starts again.
The lack of daylight doesn't help at all, things should get better once you're used to it. In the meantime, if the sun does manage to peek through the clouds, go and get 10m of sunlight, it's good for you:).
Rich :¬)
its got a name hasn't it.
SAD....Summer...summit or other....disorder. Where you have a problem with lack of sunlight as winter draws in.
Not that we HAD a summer. :(

I personally found that having a "little" bit more exercise i.e stretching further for the remote and making my mouse sensitivity in games lower so I have to move more helps with this a bit as well, and using a sunbed (for medical reasons ) briefly can also help as well as it might have something to do with the vitamins released by the skin and other biological stuff like that.
good man.....less sensitive Mouse :) love it.
Actually.....al of what you said there is it...exercise and sun.
SAD....cheers fella :)
ive been knackered since i got backfrom mexico. Just cant get sleep pattern back.
So i have been sleeping in the park at lunchtime :D
The fatigue is getting worse - Only 45 mins to go... Just had to endure hours (Well seemed like it) of torture in an endless meeting of eternal dullness :( I had to fein the need for a whizz to go sit in the toilet and shut my eyes for 5 mins... http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoticons4u/sad/014.gif
I suffer this kind of thing when I change shifts (days/nights). I found the best thing is a VERY HOT bath, immediately before going to bed. Apparently cooling the body induces sleep. So by having a hot bath, you re-create this effect.Quote:

Suffering from a lack of sleep during the day is hell. If you are flagging, (and have the opportunity), drink a cup or two of strong coffee then have a nap. This will help you to get through the day, without inflicting on your chances of falling asleep in the evening.
The biggest thing, when you do get home and you're tired... Go to bed!!! It's too easy to sit up and have a chat with the missus or watch a bit of telly, but then you can get 'overtired'. Which means that although you need sleep, you're mind don't think so.
'Struggling through' is dangerous, and can have major implications on health. The human body can go without food longer than it can without sleep. So try and avoid the "I'll just work through, and sleep tomorrow" as much as you can.
Just my 2p
