    Will my Nokia 3300 (series 40) phone change itself automatically? I get a feeling it won't, but I don't want to mess up the alarm and end up late for work!

    its so farmers could have an extra hour of daylight in the day (light earlier and dark earlier) in winter i think

    What ToMmEh said, it's to do with the more daylight so that in the winter it gets dark earlier but light earlier.

    Back in the (i think) Sixties, we used to have Double British Summer time, where the time would go foward 2 hours, meaning it was light till like 23:30 in the middle of summer. The conservatives scrapped it though.....
