Interesting example.
I say because it's something that we do in the UK which requires pretty much zero unskilled labour. It is as close to a purely brain function company as possible.
All the manufacturing is carried out by other people license, mostly in nations with lower price for unskilled labour, a lot of that manicuring is highly automated too.

You know, I'm not sure I'd count what ARM do as "industry", they don't actually manufacture anything other than ideas directly and lean towards a blend of "service industry" and "research company".
It's not to say that they're not bloody impressive, and have forged an impressive lead in the design of small, portable chips, but is it industry?
