    Today I Found Out...

    That 59dBA is not an acceptable level of noise for a PC fan to make.

    oh mate....you should try a 7000 rpm delta on an SK6....my head was punding in 3 minutes...it had to go.

    Im in the stage of replacing all my fans with some nice silent ones just ordered some silentx ones, at the moment it makes a hell of a lot of noise.

    my cpu fan makes 59db alone, the focussed flow delta 120mm fan i think it makes more though, cos its louder when i put the 120-80mm converter on, lol

    but thats why god invented headphones

    Mine makes around 30db i think, 59's just bloody loud tbh :-/

    I doubt some items on that table of relative loudness in decibels. Specifically the "Quiet home" one at 40dB. If that's the case, why does my PC seem overly loud at its sub-40 dB (Not sure of the exact figure - don't have a decibel meter)? Maybe my home's just more quiet than average.

    It DID cool the cpu.....but also made my head burn

    i had 40mm delta i found the other day damn it made noise, but it moved more air than my 80mm fans, that was until it clashed with my finger and 2 of the brushes snapped off

    I had a 3600rpm delta foir a few weeks. Horrible noise and the perfoamnce wasnt that... hot

    I have a papst on it that i cannot hear at all now, running things nicely
