right about 10 minutes ago this happened and i nearly killed myself :

Ok i was so close to finishing my cd player mod, i am using this old shuttle like psu i found in a really old Hp machine that i was using as a external psu had no bottom so the bottom was bare, i plugged it in nothing so i touched the psu my hand slipped and hit the bottom of the psu electricity went through my body and lucky the fuse blew and everything else in the house turned off otherwise i could not be talking to you now

i have chucked the cd played in the bin

and now i am upset should i go to the doctors and get checked over or something

You should be fine, just check your heart beat, is it regular and not fluctuating when you aren't moving around?

I have a pair of wire stripers that are melted down to the handle... They made a nice suvonier....

from reading your post it sounds like only 1 of your hands was actually on the psu so you will be fine m8

managed to knock the power out yesterday aswell trying to fix a printer i didnt watch what i was doing when i put the power board back in and it shorted and i was plunged into darkness ,fortunatly it survived and i now have a beautifull 1270 A3 printer

you will only ever shock your self with the mains once , cause you will make bloody sure you dont make the same mistake again or you will be too dead to do so

Took apart an old amplifier once, forgot to unplug it. Touched the transformer, causing me to inadvertently throw the thing against the wall and leap backwards. Interesting tingling feeling. Didn't hurt or burn. I got over it. Lol.

Did the same with an old PC PSU as well.

Been mains fried twice (and i'm only 17). Once from a half cut flymo cable (mum has since been banned from using the flymo until she proves she can do it without cutting the cable) and once while fixing my brothers bedrom light (mum told me she'd turned off the upstairs lights, but it was the downstairs lights that were off)
