any non dedicated Gamers gonna get Half Life 2?

Just wondered....there's lots going on in the world since yesterday. Half Life 2 went public, and people are having lots of exciting debates about it.

Just wondered if non-gamers were gonna buy it cos of the hype?

I'm already a GTA widow, and I think i've just been widowed again.

I just can't play games, so I don't. Not even a load of hype will tempt me.

I'll probably wait until it's cheap. I ought to play HL1 before I play HL2 I reckon.

I bought Max Payne 2 about 2 months ago and I've still only played about three levels of it. Tribes2 is just too addictive unfortunately.

I got it free cos I bought a 9800XT donkeys ago, and tbh, I am not really a gamer, but I would have bnought it anyway as the whole office has bought it

I am truely stunned by it, its just awesome.

I beta test sports games as I am that type of gamer, but xmasis brining an xbox from the ex lol (I think she wants me back )

Maybe just maybe, this is the beginning of the gamer in me.

and now, ok im playing san andreas but ive not played a game all the way thru since max payne, ive got far cry, and gave up shortly after getting it, HL2 might be for me, might be to upgrade my pc tho....more hassel than its worth?

2 workmates took 1 look @ the screenshots I did yesterday and went to MVC at dinner and bought it.

This morning they looked like death warmed up after playing until 1-2 am

I am a "fairly" dedicated gamer, but I play a bit of everything, I'll get it eventually, I'm still playing Far Cry on the FPS front. I just can't justify having Far Cry and HL2 and not finishing either of them.

Oh, and then there's the money issue ... sadly wedding's aren't cheap

I don't go berserk over games, but I probably will get HL2, just not immediately. It does look stunning, but I'll read some reviews first...

I'll wait until I've finished GTA:SA before buying it. I just don't get enough time to game properly these days.

I have Far Cry part way through...
I have The Thing part way through (now THATS a good game)
I have all the versions of Il-2 and they take the most time.
I have Luigi's Mansion on GC STILL part way through.
I have Metroid Prime on GC part way through.

and NOW I have System Shock 2 to play Co op with Sair/Rias (Thanks to Crapshot who found it for me )

I skipped Doom 3 totally....
maybe HL2 will get me.
