Hexus Mastermind
- less a competition and more a chance to challenge oneself and maybe dig a bit deeper into the hidden depths of knowledge shared among the Hexites.

Participants please sign-up for by simply posting your primary and secondary chosen subjects in this thread.

Questions will be Hexite generated so all Hexus members please browse the subjects below and if you wish to submit one or more questions to any of the participants please PM Galant (for now) with the name of the intended user along with your questions.

The intention is for each participant will receive a total of 20 questions - 15 on their primary subject and 5 on their secondary subject.

SUBJECT AREA GUIDELINES - Please do not be afraid to be specific in your chosen subject areas. Since the aim of these quizzes is to provide a challenge I will attempt to select a broad range of questions within your chosen subjects, especially your primary subject. A specific subject area title will help to avoid receiving questions on subject matter you didn't intend. So, for example, if one were to choose the Asterix comic series as one's subject area - but only as a fan familiar with the content of the comics themselves and not the wider subject area of the history/production/performance of the comics, then one might put forward as your chosen subject 'The Asterix comics - The characters, world and storyline', or 'The World of the Asterix comic series'. This way I, and your fellow Hexites who submit questions, can still try to fill out the range of questions to challenge on the intended subject without mistaking the intention.

If this raises any doubts please don't hesitate to message me about anything, and of course, feel free to review previous quizzes to get a feel for how the questions have been.

PARTICIPANTS - When the questions have been collected a date and time will be arranged for the PMing of the questions to you. Please confirm receipt by editing your sign-up post and adding the questions and then answering them. You will have 1 day to answer the questions from the time the questions are PM'd.

PARTICIPANTS - should answer all questions from their existing head knowledge and not refer to ANY outside source of any kind.

I think everyone should have a 3rd round with a spattering of general knowledge questions - isn't there a round of that in MM? Or is that for the folk who qualify from their specialist subjects?

As far as the subject of policing the outside source rule goes, shall we all agree that if there's something we don't know it's nicer to learn it from someone here than a poorly kept Wiki?

Certainly! I'm not too concerned about policing this. At the end of the day it's for fun and personal challenge. If anyone feels the need to look like a a fountain of all knowledge and get everything perfectly right then that's up to them.

Apologies for the lack of updates. I've got family coming into town this week and we've been busy preparing the house etc.
I'll try to get some more updates in soon, but I think I'm going to try to get the first sets of questions ready and going for after they've left since I have holiday time while they're here. So hopefully in about two weeks.
