Where To Buy Empty Tool Bag/Kits

    Hi,

A bit random and if in the wrong category please move to the correct one.

I am trying to find out where people buy empty toolkits for their computer repair gear, over the years I have built up quite an arsenal of equipment for repairing pc's/laptops etc

I am talking about something like this but empty :- http://www.amazon.co.uk/C4A-Electronics-Tool-Kit-suplied/dp/B00IOVTG20/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1399378720&sr=8-12&keywords=electronics+toolkit

I have tried searching for empty toolkit bags and I just get full ones lol.

    Thanks for any help
    Jon

B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, Maplin... all the usual.
Of those, I'd think Maplin most likely to have this folder-type case, although for that many tools I'd likely go for one of the other types myself - More room for spare cables and things, as well.

Was trying to avoid a tool box as such, looking for of the folder type ones, I did try a few of them, though online searching is a bit hit and miss, might have a drive around some instead. I just didn't know if there was like a general place people get them from like a trade supplier.

Re: Where To Buy Empty Tool Bag/Kits

I have one of these for my pc stuff,
    http://www.screwfix.com/p/c-k-magma-...toolcase/83958
One of these for my household/spark/plumbing stuff
    http://www.screwfix.com/p/stanley-fa...rganiser/36284
and one of these for my cycling stuff (bought as a thankyou when I agreed to do support for a team doing a few endurance rides).
    http://www.screwfix.com/p/stanley-fatmax-backpack/29667

All 3 are pretty good, screwfix will happily let you play with them at the counter if you want a look, the ck one is good, but quite heavy. I'd guess the backpack would comfortably fit your standard network stuff (easily a full set of screwdrivers, crimp tools, spare odds and ends and a laptop with plenty left over).

No prob, the second one is occasionally on sale at half price, and they're all probably cheaper on line if you look hard enough (or maybe not even very hard).

Yes but clearly mine is with ei rather than ie. But it could also explain why it showed up as incorrect in Firefox spell check.

I am currently using a CK Magnum bag for my gear - apart from the shoulder strap breaking because I put waaaay too much stuff in it, it's really very good. By way too much stuff, I mean it'd make your baggage allowance on most flights wince...

Had a CK bag at the last gig as well - still got it!

Yes, Yes I probably do. I... just haven't paid attention to it tbh. It's an instrument of torture that follows me around everywhere, and I knew it was something badass that started with an M.
